Saw ManjadiKuru the other day and was disappointed. So much for the hype! If exaggerating stereotypes is considered art, then this deserves all the attention it was getting. What does it offer, nothing. A very generic writing which is neither good or bad, forced dialogues, lousy direction. Of course there are moments which comes and goes like flashes off a camera, but nothing is powerful enough to leave an impact. Even the characterization is flawed. For Inst: there is a character sketch that the director was trying to show when she put a car on the boy's hands. But he holds it like a girl holding a barbie doll and in no way like a 10 year old boy would ideally hold a car. This is a very small example. And then the annoying cliche parade of family members which is an unavoidable "USP" in most of mediocre malayalam films. Its very critical to note how we still respect movies like 'Thinkalazcha nalla divasam' or "Aalkoottathil Thaniye", before going "all nostalgic" on us!
